Keeping a real lawn looking good takes time and money. Modern artificial grass is almost impossible to tell apart from the real thing, stands up to every kind of weather, and is safe for children and pets, which is why so many families now choose it for lawns, play areas and the strips around patios and decking.
The preparation is the difference
A good artificial lawn is only as good as what is underneath it. We dig out 150mm, lay and roller-compact a hardcore base, then add 25mm of washed sand, compacted and screeded to level. A weed membrane goes down next, and finally the grass is rolled out, cut to fit and fixed to a concrete edge around the perimeter.
That is how you end up with a lawn that has no bumps, no creases and no weeds, just a clean, green space that looks great for years.

How we lay an artificial lawn
The finish is what you see; the layers underneath are what make it last. This is exactly what goes in, in the order we lay it.
- 1 Excavation 150mm
The old ground is dug out 150mm deep before anything goes back in.
- 2 Hardcore base
Compacted with a roller to give a solid, free-draining foundation.
- 3 Washed sand 25mm
Compacted and screeded to the exact level you want.
- 4 Weed membrane
Stops weeds pushing through from below, so there are no bumps, no creases and no surprises.
- 5 Artificial grass
Rolled out, cut to fit and fixed to a concrete edge around the perimeter so it cannot lift or creep.

Yes. The artificial grass we lay is pet-safe and child-friendly, and it gives you a clean, mud-free surface to play on in any weather.
Will weeds grow through it?
We lay a weed membrane under every artificial lawn, on top of a compacted base, to stop weeds coming through.
Can it go around my patio or decking?
Yes. Artificial grass works really well alongside patios and decking, and we can lay all three as one project.
