Paving in Bramcote
Paving in Bramcote, right next door to our Stapleford base. We lay patios, paths and steps that work with the area’s sloping gardens rather than against them.
Patios, paths and driveways
We lay patios, garden paths, seating areas and block paved driveways, each set out to suit the shape of your garden and the style of your home.
A paved surface has to look good and stand up to daily use and every kind of weather. That comes down to careful groundwork, a solid base and precise laying, from the first dig to the final joint.
Block paving that can be repaired
Block paving comes in a wide range of colours and laying patterns, and it is easy to look after. If a block is ever damaged, it can be lifted and replaced on its own without disturbing the rest.

Under the surface
How we build a block paved drive
The finish is what you see; the layers underneath are what make it last. This is exactly what goes in, in the order we lay it.
- 1 Excavated ground Dug to suit your site
We inspect the ground first, then dig out to the depth your particular site needs.
- 2 Compacted hardcore 150mm minimum
Never less than 150mm. This is what stops a drive moving or sinking once cars are on it.
- 3 Laying course
A level bed for the blocks to sit in, so the finished surface runs true.
- 4 Block paving
Laid in the colour and pattern you pick, whether herringbone, borders, bands or something more personal.

What our customers say
STL is rated 5.0 out of 5 on Google. Here is what homeowners say about working with Sean and the team.
Highly recommended. Sean and co. have just finished laying our patio and we are so pleased with the result. Nothing is too much trouble… They have kept us informed all the while and cleaned up as they went along.
Brilliant work and fantastic service! Sean transformed my garden by replacing the decking with a patio, the rotting sleepers with walls and large unruly hedge with a neat fence. It's given me loads more usable space in the garden and I can now see out of my kitchen window.
Sean and his team have made a fantastic job of transforming our square patch of concrete into a beautiful garden, with a raised bed, two patio areas and an artificial grass lawn. They worked so hard in the extremely hot weather and they were genuinely a pleasure to have around.
I wouldn't go to anyone else but Sean for outside work! He's done two patios & a driveway for me and absolutely thrilled with everything. Sean & the lads always do a quality job, excellent value for money, and lovely guys too!
Sean and his staff replaced our old patio with a wider one, gave us a new step and built 2 wooden raised beds. Very pleased with the final result. Good communication throughout, always polite and happy to respond to any issues or change requests.
Very happy with the work the team did - shed base, sleeper beds, path, patio extension and digging a pond. Garden transformation and very hardworking guys who also have fun!
